2027 BMW X3 Redesign Revealed: Hybrid Power, Fresh Tech, and Price – The all-new 2027 BMW X3 debuts with hybrid powertrains, bold exterior styling, and a tech-packed interior. Discover the latest updates and release details.

Exterior Redesign and Platform
BMW has reimagined the 2027 X3 with a sharper design language. The front end gets an angular grille design with slimmer LED headlights and an updated bumper. At the rear, the taillights adopt a 3D shape for a more modern signature. Built on an upgraded version of BMW’s CLAR platform, the new X3 promises better rigidity and lighter weight.
Powertrains and Hybrid Efficiency
The biggest shift in 2027 is electrification. The base X3 sDrive30 and xDrive30 now feature a mild-hybrid 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine making 255 horsepower. A more powerful plug-in hybrid X3 xDrive50e produces 322 horsepower and offers up to 45 miles of electric-only driving.
A fully electric iX3 is also in the works and will be revealed separately with over 300 miles of range.

Driving Dynamics
Thanks to chassis tuning improvements and BMW’s adaptive suspension, the new X3 delivers better handling while maintaining daily comfort. Standard xDrive all-wheel drive on hybrid models adds all-weather confidence.
Interior and Technology Upgrades
Inside, the 2027 X3 is all about clean design and tech integration. A massive curved display combines the 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster with the 14.9-inch infotainment screen. BMW’s iDrive 9 OS brings improved voice control, wireless updates, and deep integration with Google services.
The materials are more premium too, with vegan leather upholstery and customizable ambient lighting on most trims.

Cargo and Versatility BMW
increased cargo capacity slightly, and a hands-free tailgate and flat-folding rear seats make loading gear easy. Rear passengers also benefit from better legroom.
Safety and Driver Assistance
BMW includes its latest driver-assist suite as standard. This includes adaptive cruise with lane centering, automatic emergency braking, and blind spot detection. Optional upgrades add a 360-degree camera and semi-automated highway driving.
Price and Release Date
The 2027 BMW X3 will go on sale in late 2026. Expected pricing starts around $50,000 for the base model and stretches up to $70,000 for the plug-in hybrid and M Sport versions.
