Engine
The sDrive40i is powered by a 3.0-liter turbo six that generates 335 horsepower and 331 lb-ft of torque. It has an eight-speed automatic gearbox and a 48-volt mild-hybrid electric powertrain, much like the rest of the series. The xDrive40i and xDrive models are identical, save for the way power is distributed between the two wheels.
Both the xDrive40i and the Black Vermilion have identical drivetrains.
